Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open HoopingNow and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion. Your account is deactivated immediately and scheduled for permanent deletion.
Or request deletion by email
Email privacy@hoopingnow.com from the address linked to your account with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity before processing the request.
What gets deleted, and when
- Account and profile data (name, photo, basketball profile, preferences, contact details): deleted or irreversibly anonymized within 30 days of a valid request.
- Encrypted backups may retain data for up to 90 additional days before routine overwrite.
- Shared game records (scores, rosters, results that other players are part of): your identity is anonymized in the shared record rather than deleting other people's history.
- Narrow legal retention: limited data may be kept where required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, enforcement of a ban or legal claims — as described in the Privacy Policy.
